Physical task cards
-
Every company has its own structures and workflows. There are many applications and clever books in the field of workflow optimization, but have decided to develop our own SCRUM-based process.
We did not find a process matching our groove and eventually ended up with a physical task system where each task corresponds to a card. Humans are tactile beings and dealing with real cards lying on the desk or attached to boards feels just more natural.

The tasks of a project are noted on cards, then grouped according to the product roadmap. During a sprint, each project member is free to pick cards from the current backlog. Once a task is completed, the time spent and the name of the employee is recorded on the card. After a quality check the card is archived by the project manager. Once a day current tasks and issues are briefly discussed among the team.Additionally we track most tasks on Lighthouse, whereas a task on a card can refer to multiple tickets – this not only enables us to work from anywhere, but also to add metadata to a task such as screenshots, files and comments.
