Modern, target group-orientated implementation

The miljobs.ch website serves as the first point of contact for women who are obliged to work and are interested in getting hired. The previous website was launched in 2012 and has remained virtually unchanged since then. It was therefore technically and visually outdated. It will be replaced by a completely new website and content management system in 2022.

Comparison of miljobs before and after the new development

A visually appealing and target-group-oriented communication at eye level was the main objective in the development of Miljobs. To achieve this, the young target group was involved in the entire development process through surveys. This allowed important feedback to be incorporated into the concept and design phase before the actual programming began.

The result is a modern, responsive website with lots of visual content. Prospective recruits are given a real insight into everyday life in the army through scrolling elements, personal testimonials and high-quality video backgrounds.

The animated, interactive 360° illustrations of the disaster scenarios also provide an appealing and slightly different way of getting informed. The illustrations were created by the company Pixelfarm.

It is important to provide targeted information to potential recruits so that they feel that they are being taken seriously. They should be able to easily find out about the recruitment process and, ideally, find out about the most exciting role for them before they start the official recruitment process.

Contribution to the modernisation of the armed forces

The new Miljobs platform has made an important contribution to the digital transformation and modernisation of the armed forces. Accessibility, security and the protection of privacy have been taken into account. Miljobs is an accessible website that can be used on all devices and takes data minimisation seriously. A Matomo instance hosted by the DDPS Centre for Electronic Media is used to analyse usage - no usage data flows to Google or other companies.

In theory, he can take apart airplane turbines and put them together again – during the flight. But that got boring after a while and now he’s our man in charge of technical quality assurance. We’re saved!

If he wanted to, he could program a website with his little toe while blindfolded... but he doesn’t want to. Our secret weapon when it comes to web development.

Design professional in all aspects. Has a beard now but is still up for every sort of goofing around when it comes to design, games, 3D, table tennis, swimming, horse riding or reading. One of the first with us and still one of the nicest.
We just noticed that you surf with Internet Explorer. Unfortunately, our website does not look so nice with it.

You want to know why that is?
We have written about it.
