Leaving no One Alone

The centerpiece of the Migros Christmas Campaign 2021 was the initiative of Migros-Engagement in collaboration with Spitex Switzerland: the Migros Christmas Mail. The project aims to draw attention to the issue of "being alone" in all age groups and to contribute to a stronger cooperation between people.


Around one third of the Swiss population feels lonely - since Corona, this trend has even been on the rise. Particularly during the difficult Christmas season for many people, there should be increased awareness and attention drawn to this issue. With the Christmas Mail Initiative, Migros encourages the population to reach out to all people who feel alone and thus make a contribution against loneliness.

Create Your Own Postcards

With a postcard generator created especially for this campaign, users could quickly and easily design their own postcards and send Christmas greetings.

Write a letter

The postcards were printed by the Swiss Post and sent to Spitex organizations throughout Switzerland. Spitex employees then delivered the postcards to the people concerned. There was the possibility to indicate a sender, so that acquaintances or even friendships could develop.

Inspiration for Christmas

There were also decoration tips, gift ideas, recipes and special offers to discover on weihnachten.migros.ch. Links to other Migros touchpoints, such as Migusto, Famigros or Migros Online, ensure conversion paths to other Migros offers and make it easy for customers to navigate through the Migros cosmos.

Involving the Customers

In collaboration with partner agencies Wirz, Mutabor and Apps with love, Migros succeeded in inspiring its customers to take action and thus make a contribution to the community. With more than 500,000 views of the campaign page and over 33,000 postcards sent out, the campaign was a complete success.
